The Discovery Interview process aims to gather stories describing what it is like to be a patient. Patient's stories are gathered by trained interviewers in one-to-one interviews using the 'spine'. Presenting these uninterrupted stories to local multi-disciplinary project teams enables them to identify needs and plan improved ways to meet them.

| Description | We wish to interview adult patients and their carers (i.e. a spouse or partner, close family member or companion) who are being investigated or receiving treatment for heart disease. The purpose of the work is to hear patients and carers accounts of their experience, in their own words, by telling their story. We refer to these stories as 'discovery interviews'. This is then read out to local health care professionals involved in caring for patients with heart disease. |
