This consultation, called "Helping patients get the best from their medicines" is part of the medicines management campaign for 2010. Patients will be invited to complete a paper based questionnaire whilst in health care settings such as GP practices, pharmacies and Hereford Hospitals Trust's outpatients department. This will explore key points of encouraging patients to have regular reviews of their medicines with their pharmacist or GP, only ordering the medicines they really need, to take their medicines into hospital with them and to also ensure that they dispose of any unwanted medicines safely through a pharmacy or dispensary. The findings will inform future campaigns and areas to concentrate upon.
This consultation has now closed and is awaiting the formal response.
